Halong Bay Cruise – Cat Ba Island 3 days
Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Long City (B)
This morning we will depart Hanoi at 08:30 for a 3-hour drive through the Red River Delta to Ha Long City. On the way we will stop for refreshments and a chance to buy hand made souvenirs at a handicraft centre run to raise money for disabled people. Upon arriving in Ha Long City we transfer to our hotel. Overnight in Halong City.
Day 2: Ha Long City – Cat Ba Island (B/L)
Today we embark on a full day boat cruise of the crystalline emeral water of Halong Bay, giving us the chance to take in stuning scenery of this World Heritage Site. While on board we have a sumptuous fresh, local seafood lunch followed by swim if possible and the opportunity to explore the most beautiful limestone cave. Our final destination of today is Cat Ba Island. Check in hotel. Overnight in Cat Ba.
Day 3: Cat Ba Island – Hai Phong – Hanoi (B)
Following breakfast we drive to the Cat Ba National Park to visit the old Military Hospital cave that was used by the North Vietnamese Army during the American war. We will return to Cat Ba town ship before boarding the one-hour ferry service back to Vietnam’s largest sea port and third largest city, Hai Phong. Arriving in Hai Phong we transfer to our waiting vehicle for the two hour drive back to Hanoi.
