Vietnam Essential 10 days

Day 1: Arrival Hanoi

Upon arrival at Noi Bai airport, you are met and transferred to our hotel in Hanoi capital city. Refresh and relax yourself after a long flight at hotel. Overnight in Hanoi

Day 2:  Hanoi City tour (B,L,D)

After breakfast, we take a walking tour through the mazes of old quarter. Enjoy local lunch at typical Hanoi restaurant. Visit the Museum of Military History, Hoa Lo Prison and Ho Chi Minh Museum. Visit Hang Bong Street to purchase Communion party banners/ badges. Tonight we will attend the water puppet show. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong bay – Hanoi (B,L,D)

This morning, after enjoying breakfast we head out for a 3 hour drive through verdant Red River Delta to Halong bay where we take a boat for a five-hour cruise around the secluded and majestic Ha Long Bay giving us the chance to take in the stunning scenery of this World Heritage Site. Whilst on board a sumptuous fresh local seafood lunch will be served. There will be opportunities for a swim and time to explore some of the limestone caves in the area. Return Hanoi in the afternoon. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 4 Hanoi – Flight to Hue (B,L,D)

Enjoy breakfast then pay a visit to Ho Chi Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh’s house, presidential palace, one pillar pagoda and  Temple of literature – Vietnam’s first national university and wonderful Museum of Ethnology. Visit Ngocson temple and lake of returned sword.  Afternoon transfer to airport for short flight to Hue. You will overnight at hotel in Hue.

Day 5: Hue City Tour (B,L,D)

After breakfast at hotel, we will start our city tour to  visit  Citadel and  Imperial purple city, imposing Thien Mu pagoda and board the trip from here for a cruise on perfume river. Visit Honchen temple and Minh Mang tomb. We then disembark the board for a visit to Tuduc royal tomb. If time permits we visit Phu Cam and Notre Dame Cathedrals. Overnight in Hue.

Day 6: Hue – Danang – Hoian (B,L,D)

Having breakfast, then we bid Hue farewell this morning. We continue our south bound journey in the comfort of an air-conditioned bus. Today our destination is the old trading town of Hoi An. Along the way through we will stop at Lang Co beach for coffee and refreshments. From here we head up to the Hai Van pass, stopping at the top to take in the stunning views north over Lang Co beach and south over Danang city. Continue on our way down the other side and into Da nang where we will stop at the Cham Museum, the famed China Beach, and the Marble Mountains. Arriving in Hoi An. we spend the rest of the afternoon exploring and relaxing. Overnight in Hoian.

Day 7: Hoian (B,L,D)

Breakfast, today there is plenty of time to discover what Hoi An offers. You can spend your time walking around and exploring the many Chinese assembly halls and fascinating ancestral homes. The town is also famous for its shops in particular it’s large number of tailors. You might like to take a boat ride with one of the local women across the Thu Bon River. Perhaps you would like to hire a bicycle and head off on a scenic ride to Cua Dai beach, about 4 km away. There’s even the chance to improve your culinary skills with a Vietnamese cooking lesson! One thing is for sure – there is no shortage of things to do in this town. Overnight in Hoian.

Day 08: Hoian – HCM city (B,L,D)

After breakfast, you are transferred to Dannang airport for the flight to HCM city. Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport you are transferred to hotel in the city centre for your refreshment. Afternoon visit Independent Palace, War Crime museum, Thien Hau pagoda, Ho Chi Minh City Museum, Reunification Palace, Jade Emperor Pagoda, visit Dan Sinh Market to buy military memorabilia. Overnight in HCM city.

Day 09: HCM city – Cuchi Tunnels – Tay Ninh Temples (B,L,D)

Breakfast then drive to visit the Cuchi Tunnels. The tunnel system, built over 25 years starting in the 1940s. It was an underground city with living areas, kitchens, storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers. In places, it was several stories deep and housed up to 10,000 people who virtually lived underground for years…. getting married, giving birth, and going to school. Since 1988, two sections of tunnels have been open for visitors. After Cuchi Tunnels tour, drive to Long Hoa and visit Cao Dai Cathedral. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 10: Departure (B)

Today, after enjoying breakfast, you are at leisure, if time permitted you can go shopping or walking in the city before your transfer to airport for your flight home today.
