Day 1 Hanoi Arrival (D)
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you are welcomed and transferred to hotel in the city to check in and refresh after your long flight. In the afternoon, we pay a visit to Temple of Literature, built in the 11th century as Vietnam’s first university, Fine Arts Museum, and Quan Thanh Temple. In the evening, we have dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2 Hanoi – Halong Bay cruise – Hanoi (B, L, D)
This morning, after enjoying breakfast we head out for a 3 hour drive through verdant Red River Delta to Halong bay where we board our own private boat for a five-hour cruise around the secluded and majestic Ha Long Bay giving us the chance to take in the stunning scenery of this World Heritage Site. Whilst on board a sumptuous fresh local seafood lunch will be served. There will be opportunities for a swim and time to explore some of the limestone caves in the area. Return Hanoi in the afternoon. Overnight in Hanoi
Day 3 Hanoi – Flight to Sai Gon (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we start our city tour to visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed the whole October and November) and his simple stilt house, One Pillar Pagoda, and the old quarter of Hanoi. We have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon you are transferred to the airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival at Ho Chi Minh airport, you are transferred to hotel. Overnight in HCM city.
Day 4 Sai Gon – Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L, D)
After breakfast, you are picked up at hotel. We drive to Cu Chi (75 km) to visit Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing complex of underground tunnels used during the Vietnam War. Then we return to Ho Chi Minh City. Have lunch at the local restaurant. In the afternoon, we visit the lively Chinatown or Cholon with Thien Hau Pagoda, visit Historical Museum and make photo stops at the famous tourist sites such as Reunification Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Central Post Office. We have dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in HCM city.
Day 5 Sai Gon – Departure (B)
Having breakfast then you are at leisure time until transferred to Ho Chi Minh City / Tan Son Nhat International Airport for departure.
